Hi Guys! I'm NuBByThuMB and in case you're wondering, yep, I have a partial thumb. :P I'm 23 and work at my local Bookstore as the Magic: the Gathering Events Coordinator. As the survey above would indicate, I am indeed affiliated with the House of Shadows. Mill is my name and assassination is my game. My game revolves around all things Dimir when I'm shuffling up Lazav Plays With Your Mind (UPDATED 100% FOIL).

When my M:tG addiction began, I experienced the adrenaline of opening pack after pack in order to find something I found worthwhile. As a result, two boxes and all nine fetchlands I opened and traded in for packs later, I opened the guy I was after Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet! Yeah yeah, I know I know! What a newb that guy was! Throughout my current five year streak of magic, I have bought in and sold out of so many formats and decks that it makes me dizzy and nauseated just thinking about it. And I feel that after a five year streak of relentless spending, I have found a format where I can settle in and be a little less spendy. COMMANDER! HOO-AH!

All joking inclusive, I feel Commander is a great niche for players who aren't competitive enough to sleeve up for the fast paced and pricey formats and is a great way to solidify collection value. Every card has some use to someone in Commander, and if I can't use what I have, I know someone who will. For these reasons I have recently shifted the direction my collection is going and begun consolidating my collection into beastly Commander decks (of which I now own six) and staples tradable for other Commander goodies.

No worries, though. I'm an avid drafter as well. Limited is a great place for people who have a good idea of what they're looking for to win. It's an easy way to pick up a couple extra cards and an even better way to promote new players to join you as you (if you're like myself) pass out the commons and uncommons you drafted at the end of the evening to the new players.
