Ambi-DECK-strous -
I enjoy finding a card or a few cards that catch my attention, whether it's their art, the mechanic, or a funny synergy.
I then build a deck around that concept.
This sometimes makes decks that aren't all that great, but play with a distinct style.
I have a hard time ever saying that a deck is "done" and I always consider suggestions that are made to me.
I identify most with Boros as a color combination, for several reasons.
More and more this has influenced my deck designs, resulting in decks like Visit Lovely Hanweir!, Divine Affliction, and Depala's Demolition Derby.
The concept of controlled fury and defiant courage fits my playstyle well, no matter now much I may try to be Dimir.
For me, most decks are chance to tell a story, or create a certain atmosphere on the table. I prefer finding cohesive art and themes to make my deck look and feel a certain way as they play out. I like my lands to match the set that a majority of the cards are from, or at the very least, enhance the feeling of the creatures in the deck.

This is a perfect example for me of a deck that tells a story.
The entire deck is made of SOI and EMN cards, and illustrates the corruption that ravaged doomed Hanweir.
The deck starts with unaltered humans, innocent artifacts, and slowly but inexorably transforms (literally and figuratively) into a scene of utter horror, with the humans becoming Eldrazi and the township itself becoming something much worse.

One of my brewed decks that just went out of control, it started as a Pauper deck that focused on the Vent Sentinel and some other trickery, but grew too large for Pauper to contain, and is now this very unorthodox, extremely potent deck.

Pauper is the format that a friend used to reintroduce Magic to me, and this is my favorite deck in that format.
It features rampant token-creation, crazy combos, and some of my own hand-painted altered cards, like Tragic Slip
. This is one of those decks that looks great on the table, all the lands are filled with hedrons and Eldrazi art, the creatures form a cohesive line of monstrosities, and it all feels very characterful.

My happy little bundle of horrible rats. The first deck I ever tried to build from scratch was a Pauper Rat Deck.
It was terrible.
I never gave up on the idea of a deck full of rats. So, when I started playing Commander, I couldn't resist the thought of an avalanche of little furry jerks filling the table with sharp teeth, wiry tails, and scampering feet.
It was born as a 40 Rat, 40 Swamp, 20 Supports kind of deck, and has evolved nicely.
This deck has changed the most thanks to the community on TappedOut, and I'd like to thank each and every person that made a suggestion or shared a lesson in Black Magic with me.
The Rats certainly appreciated it.
I enjoy playing sealed, as every game is always different, but by keeping it within the block this Cube plays very smoothly and the decks are filled with character.
