kamarupa Hey! Thanks for all the suggestions, definitely very helpful! The amount of cards legal in modern is huge so as a relatively new player, I already expected there to be many that I would overlook. This deck is basically based on cards I pulled from a box of RTR and decided to build a deck around.

Fate Transfer is basically a personal favorite and I like the fact that you can also use it offensively. For example: if your opponent decides to block the creature with alot of counters and lets the weaker creature go through, you can switch around the counters to do some big damage. While the Ozolith is a good card which I will definitely consider, it doesn't have a surprise element: your opponent knows it's there and that it'll do its thing at some point.
