I used to attempt to play competitive back when I was in high school, now I mostly play for fun. I like designing decks based around themes, instead of around what will win a majority of the time. I feel it adds an extra element to the deck building process, you not only have to have a central theme, but you have to work with it the best you can. Which is not always easy.
