Haven't updated this in a while, I've been playing for a little over a year. Used to play back in Seventh Edition when I had no clue how to play magic very well being a youngster, but yea it all comes back to you pretty quickly with how to play after a while. After playing in the Competitive scene for a year now I've gained a lot of knowledge when it comes to magic.
I enjoy G/W colours mainly and Abzan aggro/hate and Death and Taxes style decks. I really have never liked Control decks mainly due to them being non-interactive for the player vsing them so I generally design my decks to hate on Control and removal. It's not strictly true that I hate Control I just hated when Splinter Twin was in Modern because often times it could just combo out of no where and you had to play extremely smart and even when you did you'd still lose the deck never really lost momentum and could always slam a Deceiver Exarch or Pestermite and combo off. Although with that said I do love playing my Bogles deck for being purely non-interactive for the most part haha. Kind of ironic when I play a semi control deck in Vintage.
Mainly play Modern, and occasionally play Vintage/EDH/Legacy, meta at my local store doesn't really have many Legacy or Vintage players so kinda hard to play usually run a lot of proxies because the formats quite expensive to get into. I generally playtest with mates at my Local store and usually figure out what's best in the meta currently. I'm also tinkering with a Legacy Death and Taxes deck currently with the price drops of Wasteland and I'm hoping Rishadan Port in the Eternal Masters set coming out later this year.
My personal favourite cards for flavour and storyline: Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Sigarda, Host of Herons.
Favourite Planeswalkers (in general): Sorin Markov, Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Garruk, Apex Predator, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage, Tezzeret the Seeker, Liliana of the Veil, Ral Zarek (master of chaos).
My current decks for Modern:
I'm also working on building a complete and utter hateful EDH deck with Selvala, Explorer Returned, mainly because I've found a lot of infinite combos just pop out of nowhere in the EDH league I attend I wanted a Stax deck that just locks down anyone besides me from doing anything, I like playing solitaire in EDH especially when people just run stupid amounts of combos all the time. It's currently just a shell because I'm still figuring out what I need to cut and put in found here:
