Deckspert -

Started playing around 7th edition and stopped shortly after 8th. Took a little break and recently have gotten back into it. Really getting into deck design and looking to get more competitive in my play. Been playing standard since I've come back to the game, but as I was coming back a new format was opening up: Modern. So now modern is where it's at for me. An eternal format that is more accessible to me than Legacy; YES PLEASE! I have a modern Jund, Varolz, the Scar-Striped deck I just got done physically fleshing out, and a Mono-Red burn deck I just put together and bought the cards for :-) My LGS is run/owned by a friend of mine, and has just started doing modern tourneys on Sundays for booster boxes and will start doing modern TCGPlayer events on Fridays; hoping this leads to bigger events and such (they've run PTQ events there also). I'm also on MTGO, but I haven't got the collection I need just yet, most of my funds have been spent on the physical cards. I believe my handle is "thebeatmick". Just looking to get into a community bent on building the best and helping each other do that.
