After more goldfishing, it seems very uneven. 50-75% of the time (rough estimate) I can do something absurd by turn 9, like the Mimeoplasm as the Tarrasque with counters from Death's Shadow - not necessarily game-winning right there, but a big deal. The rest of the time I'm just mana screwed or milling 2 cards a turn with a 5/5 out. I don't think I can make the mana base any better without spending a lot of money, so I think I need to make it less demanding - i.e. sharply cut whichever color is least important, probably blue - or add a lot more card draw.
