My first experience with MtG was Portal, a long long time ago. I have taken many breaks, my last real big throw with it being from Mirrodin through the Kamigawa Block. I've always played in Casual playgroups, but I'm recently working towards some Standard legal play.

Most of my casual decks are on the slow side, built to withstand 3-6 player FFA matches instead of the quick-pace of a 1v1 game. The prize jewel of my decks is my Artifling deck, which currently is not here, but I will post at some point. It's horribly illegal in almost any format thanks to Skullclamp and artifact lands, but my playgroup enjoys it. I rarely win a 4 player FFA because I'm perpetually the target (last FFA win I got, I killed 1 opponent with a Whispersilk Cloaked Myr that was sitting at 26/3, and then I used Fling to blow up my other opponent in the same turn.

I like a good combo, and Tribal decks are always fun, I have Rats, Wizards, Spirits, and Allies in my current box. As I endeavor into Standard I hope I learn a few new tricks to throw at my casual play as well :)
