Deckling -

Hey there!

I started playing Magic in my teens when I got my first box of "Mirage" for Christmas. I didn't have much to play with at the time, and I had NO IDEA what competitive magic was like.

Fast forward to a couple of years ago, and I met some friends who also played. We pitted our decks against each other and I would get crushed everytime...so I started collecting and getting into the Standard format (as I would get killed in Legacy or anything else since I didn't have much of a collection).

I tried playing aggro, but it just seemed to run out of gas and not be able to close out a game if it didn't do well in the early turns. As a "used to be avid" chess player, I LOVED to make plays that set me up for wins turns ahead (as I had a natural knack for doing this). This led me to start playing with midrange/control decks. I started playing midrange, but I switch to control for two headed giant and now in the Born of the Gods standard where midrange runs rampant. My newest creation is of Grixis Control deck-large:the one control deck to rule them all
