My name is Keri and I started playing mtg in August 2010, when I met my boyfriend. His brother taught me how to play using an older battlefield format where the land is placed in front of the other permanents, rather than the standard format with the land closest to the player who casted it. Since then my boyfriend's brother has started using the standard format but I stubbornly refuse to change. Because of my unique format, many people say that I use my land to protect my creatures :)

My first deck was w/g and made up of a bunch of old, cheap, but effective cards. That deck was lifegain focused and I think that is why I still tend towards lifegain and white decks in general. I have competed in several drafts and standard competitions but I prefer to play casually with friends.

Also, my boyfriend and his family say that I have incredible luck when selecting fat packs and booster packs because I almost always get a mythic, usually in my preferred color. I've only once gotten a double mythic booster, though, and, as fortune would have it, they were both white. Because of my "luck" I often am assigned to selecting the fat packs for purchase and distributing the booster packs to each person whenever we hold a draft together.
