Find Torpor Orb and pump out either Hunted Horror or Treacherous Pit-Dweller on turn 3. Playing against a non-interactive opponent? Try a turn 4 Mindcrank/Duskmantle Guildmage combo. Turn 1 Thoughtseize/Inquisition of Kozilek showed an amazing hand? Control them with Mana Leak or Muddle the Mixture.
Speaking of, Muddle the Mixture tutors for literally all the combo cards in the deck and doubles as protection. Initially, I had Fabricate, but because all it gets is Torpor Orb or Mindcrank, Muddle is SO much better. And it can grab your creatures! It also cannot be countered conventionally if used as a tutor (it's an activated ability)! And it's a counterspell! Muddle makes the deck significantly more consistent, finding whatever piece you need, while searching the overall gameplan of the deck.
The deck was built around finding a way to abuse Torpor Orb. Running 4 mainboard means Twin can never combo, Siege Rhino is just a 4/5 trample (bad, but much better than a 6 point drain), and hoses a number of other, creature based combos and decks.
The 2 of Necropolis Fiend helps deal with Abrupt Decay killing a huge portion of my game plan. It's also a card that counters a lot of Junk/Jund's discard gameplan. If they make you discard via Lili, it just makes it easier to kill more of their creatures by exiling graveyard junk.

Snapcaster Mage doesn't belong in a deck where the goal is to make him a 2/1 flash for 2.
Cryptic Command *list* may have a place in the deck. I'm just unsure of what to cut. Cutting some of the bad ETB creatures for Cryptic may be correct, except that as soon as Torpor Orb is out, each additional creature is SO much better.
