Not really an issue just a popular deck to face off against... I died to Dimir Spybug many many times.

This deck list gave me PTSD from when I used to play Arena regularly lol

I swear as I was reading this I was thinking Tromokratis he was my very first commander I built from scratch (dont have my list anymore) that being said... my honest to goodness truth opinion on "this will be my deck of all decks/final/only deck"... Unless you very seldom play (like just a few times a year) I wouldn't do Tromokratis.

I think he is a lot of fun... a great recommendation for teaching someone to play, and pretty budget friendly to make functional... certainly has a lot of room for permission spells for the control feel...but ultimately just feels really one dimensional... and if you only play every now and again I think its totally fine but i only needed to play a few games before I really had deck envy to do something else.

I dont really have a better more knowlegable suggestion but i figured I'd at least express my concern as a former Tromokratis pilot.

Actually the opposite....I miss the days when Commander/EDH weren't catered to at all and the a format comprised of everyone's bulk/staples that were opened from standard.... but it is what it is... I think I personally like the connected products overall, but at first found it very confusing in regards to set legality... like when Modern Horizons 3 came out there were a few commander only cards that I thought were Modern legal.

My wife got me a white cardboard storage box for Christmas last year and I love it... its 12 800 ct boxes that are 4 wide and 3 tall... I just keep it on a shelf in the bedroom closet and its been great.

Things change over time? I only own/read one Magic Paperback book and it was basically just a collection of short stories. (Distant planes Anthology) With characters I never heard of... dont even think there were planswalkers in it at all (and if there were I just didn't recognize them).... and I really dont remember any reference to mana or colors of magic at all but I could be wrong and it could be an outlier.

It reminds me of how I felt reading Star wars novels expecting to follow Mainstream Characters and long story arches like following a continuing adventure of Luke Skywalker or something but as I read was just immersed in a world full of characters I never heard of but within a star wars universe I guess.

Nevertheless I enjoyed both despite not exactly getting what I thought I was signing up for.

When in doubt cut a basic land! (I jest)... Idk I think I would just cut what you felt was "stale"... its a 1 0f in the 99 and isnt exactly a key card I dont think so i think simply any other card that is not critical to the decks game plan is a consideration.

I think it could be neat for some decks like Wayta, Trainer Prodigy for sure but I am not sure it would be a "comeback" for the mechanic exactly.
