If I have Psychic Frog in play and i decide to use Burning Inquiry/Goblin Lore and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is one of the random cards discarded; could I in response to Emrakul going into the graveyard activate the Frogs ability to exile 3 cards to prevent shuffling my graveyard into my library?

I overall love the direction this deck and particularly like Corrupted Resolve.

I overall just dont think it's effcient enough... trying to answer the opponent's strategy in a one-for-one trade war with more mana intensive cards or cards that require setup and synergy is a really big ask unless you have some key card/method that suddenly invalidates your opponents deck like a board wipe and you have cards in hand and they dont or or you virtually combo and win. Take Crashing Footfalls, Orcish Bowmasters or Ajani, Nacatl Pariah  ^Flip as examples of really common modern threats that will probably overload your control spells particularly because they are higher on curve.

But again I really like the concept of this deck and I would love to hear a war story of it working at your FNM!

@Bookrook just some sort of land destruction spell to hit Inkmoth Nexus or something.... the drawback is a non issue with all of the various draw/landcycling so long as you dont blow up the triome

To elaborate on what I said/my case for Fluctuator "Cycling" is not a mechanic unique to Premodern but "Fluctuator" as a deck is unique to Premodern due to the cardpool and banlist that separate it from Legacy and others. Fluctuator as a deck is a recurring article of discussion on the Premodern magic site being piloted by various "Celebrities" (this article is honestly just hilarious) in community as well as having a recurring presence in and out of the meta MTG Decks or MTG Top 8.

As its special place in the community/format its more than just "combo, reanimator, Cycling, creature cheat, artifact...living end-ish".... it's a Fluctuator deck.

I think a "onion layer" about this decision that troubles me is those that would interpret this as an act of cowardice or some sort of concession or victory in the aftermath of the ban announcement... its all just frustrating... it kinda makes me want WOTC to hold firm on the last RC decision.

That's just tragic... as far as to wheter or not it is a good or bad thing for EDH/the game in general I have no clue... but those circumstances for how we got here is just sad.

Its redundant in the same way we have reanimator and living end... they are similar but different in terms of actual deck type/construction.

Is there any chance we can get a Fluctuator Hub for the Premodern decks? Its a pretty cool Combo deck that centers on Fluctuator but has cool variations for a deck payoff via Living Death and Haunting Misery/Drain Life.

Initially this is where my head was on the subject... thinking EDH was a casual format and Rule 0 should apply here but unfortunately there is deeper ripples with this decision than "are these game pieces fun/healthy for the format."

And I kinda wonder if they don't reverse this decision than maybe just make an official separate format for homes for these cards?

Oh for sure not trying to justify or give a green light seal of approval for threats/violence, I am just trying to understand a situation is all.

I like Arcane Proxy, I just wish it had more Impact because I don't really have synergies with it.

I'm almost positive threats of violence has to be connected with $$$ and not whether or not these game pieces are fun or not.

When it comes to investors and game stores and similar I dont know how to break those kinds of ties... like on one hand I get threats of violence and making people feel uncomfortable really sucks but on the other hand messing with people's wallets and business also sucks.

I guess this is just way bigger of a deal than I thought.

So as of now 2 members of the CAG (commander advisory group) have resigned...and a non disclosure agreement has been breached by a member of the Rules committee by revealing how someone voted to deter threats.

Maybe this will get walked back?
