Some Valgavoth's Lairs would provide a decent enchantment backup as a free drop Hexproof Enchantment.

I think you should add in the 1-mana Elves. You don't have very many options on turn 1 right now, and the potential card advantage you get from deck thinning with Thirsting Roots and similar cards isn't very meaningful. Cultivate is good, but Explosive Vegetation is probably a little too expensive. Your deck has a lot of high mana costs, so I would recommend ramping aggressively on turns 1-3 so you can start getting your big creatures out on turn 4. This also means that cards that put lands into play like Farhaven Elf are going to be more useful than cards that put lands into your hand like Sylvan Ranger.

Thank you FallopianGolem! The list is quite consistent. Maybe I'm stuck on the commander damage plan with no other options in 1 out of 13 games?
All of those cards will do work! I do have them and have played them in some rotation at some point or another. I only didn't consider them in this list for budget reasons.
I would probably swap out Animist's Awakening and Heartbeat of Spring for two of those too! Would love to know your thoughts if you run it that way.

Heads up, Thermopod is unnecessary. Kiki-jiki copies sac themselves. Alternatively terror of the peaks also works instead of havoc jester. It's probably a slightly less dead card too

I've always loved Volo's design, it's a lot of fun to play with disparate creature types.
Any thoughts to Spark Double, almost exclusivly just to copy Volo so you get extra triggers and copies. It's also an illusion, which you don't have in your current list of types.

hi everyone, latley i been playing commander with my friends every weekend. i been using my gruul commander deck, that i build recently. im having a lot of fun and getting very good results, but im thinking that i can optimize my mana ramp.
So i want to know what do you guys think.
thats the deck : Clans Savagery :Beasts ,giants and dragons!
in this moment im using cards like Goblin Anarchomancer, Nightshade Dryad, Sylvan Caryatid, Zhur-Taa Druid, as my mana dorks, i also have Somberwald Sage that is a little more expensive in mana, but give me 3.
i also use cards like Farhaven Elf and Sylvan Ranger as my mana tutors among others.
i have also spells like Rampant Growth, Cultivate and Explosive Vegetation to help me.
my doubt came because i have cards like Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic and many others that are 1 mana, mana dorks, but i didnt add them to the deck. and also mana dorks and tutor that are more mana expensive like Wood Elves or Ondu Giant that didnt make it to the deck (i also have alot of gruul mana rocks, but i didnt add them because of my commanders hability)
i didnt want to add more mana tutoring spells like Migration Path, because my commander Ruric Thar, the Unbowed will punish me if i have more non creature spells.
i think that, i may optimize my mana ramp if i add the Llanowar Elves like creatures ,but i feel that i will make the mana ramp slower, if i take out cards like Cultivate, Thirsting Roots and Explosive Vegetation even if they arent creatures (because they take mana out of my deck and i will have less chance to draw mana). I also think that the 3 mana or 4 mana tutoring options that i have will make the deck slower.
what do you guys think? thnks everyone for reading :)
Rhadamanthus on Which triggers go first if …

If an event causes triggered abilities to trigger, those new triggers will be put onto the stack on top of anything else that's already there, meaning things can start piling up if there are abilities involved that can trigger off of each other. Because of the specific way the rules work, a 1/1 creature that's dealt damage in your example will die before you can target it with anything else, but you can make use of the indestructible 3/3 since it won't be destroyed from lethal damage.
You use Vulshok Sorcerer, targeting your opponent, and trigger Ghyrson and Chandra's Incinerator. Since they're triggering at the same time and you control them both, you get to put them onto the stack in the order of your choice (you also choose targets for them at that time). In your example you put the Incinerator trigger on top, so it resolves first. The Incinerator trigger resolves and triggers Ghyrson and Repercussion. These triggers will be put onto the stack - in the order of your choice - on top of the previous Ghyrson trigger that's still waiting. If you damaged one of the 1/1 creatures with the Incinerator trigger then the game will check state-based-actions (SBAs) right before the new triggers get put onto the stack and the creature will be destroyed by lethal damage. Whichever new trigger you put on top of the stack will resolve first, and you keep going, adding new triggers to the stack as they come up. The "old" triggers closer to the bottom of the stack will only resolve once you actually get back down to them.

DreadKhan excellent comment.
FormOverFunction while I generally agree with you, personally I've grown sick and tired of intro movies. I just wish they risked more. Give me Kingdom Come Superman. Give me a good Silver Surfer movie, not a F4 sequel doof. As soon as they find the balls to deviate from what they think is a safe cash cow, we can have good movies again. The world does not need the twentieth introduction to Batman or Superman, literally everyone knows who they are.

I have Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph on the board with Vulshok Sorcerer, Chandra's Incinerator and Repercussion. The opponent has 5 1/1 soldier tokens and an indestructible 3/3 beast token. I tap Vulshok to do 1 damage to opponent. This will trigger both Ghyrson and Chandra's Incinerator. If Incinerator triggers first and damages one of the creatures on the 1 damage, that will trigger both Ghyrson and Repercussion. My question is will triggers caused by other triggers get to go first and when do the creatures they are damaging actually die? Can I, for instance, have Incinerator and Repercussion bounce the first 1 point of damage back and forth from a 1/1 creature to player until the player dies and resolve all the Ghyrson triggers and the 1/1 death after? Can I bounce the 1 damage back and forth between the indestructible 3/3 and resolve the Ghyrson triggers after? Or do I need to resolve both the Incinerator trigger and the Ghyrson trigger before adding other triggers? If It's the latter, how do I order the multiple triggers that branch out from each after?

"They say every Autumntime the ghostly couple return to where they first married, where they are seen dancing to the sound of tiny_Bones."
my attempt at a (reasonably) balanced dual land cycle. I reckon this is probably on par with check lands. Maybe a bit worse cos u can't choose which way.
either try to comeup with ur own (reasonably) balanced dual land cycle.
or create a creature with a 1/20 stat line

Hate to say it, but if your Commander is colourless than Arcane Signet doesn't tape for anything, it only makes many in your Commander's colours. If you want a 2 mana rock that can make coloured mana in a pinch I'd look at Fellwar Stone

I thought Legion was a pretty great X-Men universe show. The first season, at least. I sort of fell off during the second season. Comics are difficult to translate into film, I think, because (generally) they weren’t meant to be something you consumed repeatedly and to great lengths. X-men was cool because you had a bunch of weird characters that you could dip into, check out, and dip out of. Even if you put a TON of work into it, Cyclops can only be so great. Maybe for one additional outside-of-the-main movie. The biggest challenge is, like all movies, we’re never satisfied by a good movie. We want another one. Immediately. Severance is a great show, but I’m very nervous about season two. The first Batman of a series of Batman movies is great because you go through the “here is who he is” piece… but the second one has to rely entirely on the new stuff; because we already did the fun intro part. Often, for Batman, it’s easy because you get to do the intro piece for a new weird villain.

Tbh low cost cantrips are pretty nuts. Stuff that gives double strike or trample to guarantee hits. And then for sure protection, counter magic or something like that. She's a kill on sight commander so your typical free spells are cracked

DreadKhan on How Did the X-Men Film …

The franchise (such as it is) always had issues, one of them being the tendency to make them headlong action movies. X-men isn't really the most action-y comic in my experience, it dealt with way more serious issues, and was meant to be read by relatively mature audiences (for comics). IIRC it was assumed that younger readers would start out with Fantastic Four or Spider Man, followed by The Avengers, and finally X-Men when you were actually old enough to have experienced systemic societal abuse (or witnessed it happen to people you care deeply about), X-Men is about man's inhumanity to those it others, a very rich trope in a US steeped in racism and misogyny.
As an example, who is the single most popular X-Men character of all time, hands down? Obviously the answer is Wolverine, who was a household name on par with Spiderman for 90s kids. Wolverine dodges a lot of the problems you run into with superhero movies in the same way Captain America does, he's just not powerful enough to ruin the plot (see every Superman movie ever), and so it's relatively easy to write a decent Wolverine character/story arc. The problem stems from it being specifically the young people liking Wolverine, and these young people aren't jaded enough to understand the character. As a result of the movies leaning into him really hard AND having a puerile audience we get a Wolverine who's very 'cool', and does cool stuff... but the reason Wolverine is a compelling character is not because he's 'cool', it's because he's endured and struggled so much over his centuries of life! Unless you're willing to treat him like the brutally traumatized psycho he is you can't do him justice. The first 3 X-Men movies (and the first 2 Wolverine movies) all wanted a cool, competent, and effective Wolverine that is merely hassled by inner demons, this sucked out all of the potential depth and intensity that should be inherent to the character, and so most of those movies weren't great (though the first two X-Men movies were good I agree they didn't age especially well). I think you could argue that finally leaning hard into this tortured past for Logan resulted in a better movie compared to the other two stand alone Wolverine movies, they made the character feel human and humane, instead of just a symbolically horny killing machine (he's a macho fantasy fyi, without the necessary depth he's just weirder shorter He-Man).
Regarding the attempt at a reboot of the 'Original' X-Men, they missed the mark IMHO. Everyone loved the expanded X-Men, the original team felt boring and lame (they used a bunch of seemingly privileged white kids that had 'become' others to make them relatable to a white audience, the expanded X-Men were more diverse and thus less patronizing) so the movies weren't as exciting, and again, if you don't lean into the whole 'mutants are an allegory for the horrors we do to society's "others"' thing X-Men isn't very special, and having access to multiple POWERFUL telepaths almost completely invalidates every plot you can think of (throwing in Cerebro feels like trolling), to the point where any important recurring X-Man villain had to be immune or gain immunity, like Juggernaut or Magneto. Professor X (and definitely Phoenix) are too OP to write around.
So yeah, I think the bulk of the X-Men movies assiduously avoided the actual themes of the comics and just made dumb action movies that either flopped or aged like the finest of bananas: the unwillingness of the suits to make movies that challenged the audience keeps killing the X-Men franchises. People loved Logan, but will studios figure out WHY people loved it?
