Great points. I like Michiko too but Burning Sands belongs in this. Dissipation Field, Ghostly Prison and Propaganda are good but redundant. Consolidate that into something bigger like Sphere of Safety.
I also like Aurelia but this is not a creature aggro list. Strionic Resonator would accomplish what you want more efficiently.

I like Michiko because she can punish combat damage and other sources of damage like Impact Tremors and Orcish Bowmasters. When she is paired with Dissipation Field it's really a headache for the opponents. You can choose the order of the effects to cause maximum damage
Seize the day might be cheaper than Aurelia, but only allows for one creature to attack again and it's a two-time use card that ends up being one mana more expensive than Aurelia in the long run, whereas you pay 6 for her and she stays on the field to trigger the extra combat every turn for all my creatures. I'm gonna need every ounce of damage to win since I'm running a low creature count and most of them are weak and more focused in control
I will try to open a slot of Burning Sands in the meantime

If you decide to go the Jokulhaups/Obliterate route don't forget to add Planeswalkers!
Burning Sands won't backfire once you cut the excess fat from your creatures. Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker clean swap.
Seize the Day > Aurelia, the Warleader
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner great card but is meh for this strategy.

I have made some changes to the deck, including some cards you've suggested and others like Ruination, Jokulhaups and Dawn's Truce
You make a good point about replacing the Myr and Ornithopter dorks for less removable rocks. The Ramos' ones look very cool. Maybe replace the dorks and Mind Stone for them?
I like Burning Sands, although it might backfire a bit too much for my taste. What would you replace for it?

Soul Partition can exile anything and plays into your Grand Arbiter Augustin IV angle taxing them as you take resources. Speaking of taxes and resource denial... Where's the Burning Sands?
Capsize > Cyclonic Rift
I know that might be a controversial take but Rift is one and done. Capsize is forever with your mana rocks :)
Cut some of your creatures. Palladium Myr? Vesuva cloning your Ancient Tomb is better.
Big fan of Dwarven Miner for the nostalgia (started during Mirage) but Dwarven Driller is cooler and you really need mana rocks.
Ornithopter of Paradise great common but you aren't running modifications and being a creature just makes it vulnerable to removal. A mana rock would be better.
Eye of Ramos, Heart of Ramos and Tooth of Ramos have been really useful in my build.

Oh nice suggestions! Tell me what you think about this:
-
Lavinia for Stone Rain
-
Impending Disaster for Molten Rain
-
Roilling Terrain for Cosmic Intervention
-
Aftershock for Guilded Lotus
-
Raze for Mind Stone
Pillage can destroy a land or a rock for 3 which I think is worth keeping, and Cleansing Wildlife destroys a non-basic land for a basic one (if they even have one) and draws a card

I recommend adding at least 1 of both Barren Moor and Secluded Steppe. Top decking in a combo deck can be painful, but these can help you get a land out of the way. And if it helps, I also recommend checking out a Mono-blue deck that I have posted to my decks. It runs on Grinding Station also, so you might find some useful ideas in the colors you are running. Particularly, Myr Retriever, Workshop Assistant, and now Junk Diver are good for recycling creatures to sacrifice to the stations

Cut all of the sorcery speed Stone Rain effects. Numot does twice the work for the same cost.
Lavinia, Azorius Renegade really good alongside land destruction.
Impending Disaster the cheapest Armageddon in the game.
The deck needs more mana rocks to nullify the land destruction. Gilded Lotus is great for one tap Numot activation.

Since you have the Huatli, Sun's Heart/Tree of Redemption combo, have you considered any combination of Felidar Guardian, Angel of Destiny and Test of Endurance? It's always good to have an Alt-Win card in your deck in the event you can't defeat your opponents through combat. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

Thanks slvstrChung, and I regret not being more into this game during it’s prime years. I’d give anything for the playfield to look like what it did 10-15 years ago, and having the deck building knowledge I have now—instead of not understanding the game and fumbling with precons ^_^

I did a version of this deck 19 years ago as the first deck I actually designed (as opposed to just being a pile). We were still in Legacy, so my version revolved around Furious Assault, but it's the same basic idea. Apparently, great minds think alike!

The first thing I notice is that a lot of your bounce spells are very very questionable. You could find a lot better with just a basic unsummon. Word of Undoing is technically a better version. Why no snap? For mass draw, Borrowing 100,000 Arrows and Hylda's Crown of Winterwould be very good with all of the tap you have. Candlekeep Sage could be good if your planning on flickering nez a lot. Your counter spells are also lacking in quality. Disallow, spell pierce, and Ice Out are all better than your assorted cancel variants.

@KongMing They're valid suggestions, but I think I would struggle to open up space for them, they're very specific and don't do much by themselves.
Even Liquimetal Torque as a mana rock, I would think better about it if only it added one mana of any color instead of colorless, considering this deck have 3-colors and a cheap manabase more prone to fail.
KongMing on Splicey and Dicey

Liquimetal Coating and Liquimetal Torque could be used to turn a nonartifact permanent into an artifact in response to it being destroyed by combat damage or some other effect in order to trigger Ich-Tekik's ability. They also help some of your nonartifact cards benefit from your artifact anthems and other effects.

Insight is cheap and green is the most played color in commander.
Otherwise, curiosity effects, especially older ones, are cheap.
Opt effects tend to be cheap but some of the 1 mana cantrips can be expensive (~$2-3). Also, thier best with Archmage Emeritus effects (which range in price).

You could consider Trailblazer's Boots and/or Prowler's Helm. If you equip more than once, you save mana.
Cantrips like Opt are a good option, though technically not card advantage. The big ticket items would be Rhystic Study and The One Ring.
Otherwise, you could consider curiosity effects if you plan on connecting, Consecrated Sphinx, Fact or Fiction, or one of the blue creatures that draw you a card every instant or sorcery you cast.

There are other situations where activating Obeka on an opponent's turn makes sense. The biggest is that Obeka could be used to shut down a different opponent who might be making a strong play on the active player's turn, like if opp #2 is casting a Vampiric Tutor. I can also think of a bunch of ways where Obeka could be built for politics or "pick your poison" kinds of play where using her on an opponent's turn makes sense.
In any case the rules abuse can't work unless all players agree to that informal shortcut arrangement.
legendofa on The Rules Say It Works
If nothing else, I'm going to point to it being worded as "The player whose turn it is". If this rules abuse doesn't actually work, then Obeka might as well say "If it's your turn, you may end the turn." The only other possible utility that I see is a weird and extremely niche group hug effect: if another player is trying to avoid end step effects and you want to help them, you can let them end the turn early.
king-saproling on The Rules Say It Works

You make a good argument legendofa but I think like sergiodelrio said, the opponent is not taking any action. You are the only one executing the loop so the onus is on you to take a different action.
Using sergio's interpretation, the active player is not involved in the loop. Obeka's ability is not making them choose one of two actions, it's giving them the opportunity to take a single action. The opponent could continue to not act at all, since it is a "may" effect. It is definitely a weird situation since it seems a decision would have to be made in order for Obeka's ability to resolve, but I'm doubtful the opponent saying "I decline the may effect" involves them in the loop. The actions that are executing the loop are entirely yours.

Yeah Argy the names are pretty much all that sell a deck on the front page. If the only information we get out of what a deck could be is a name, well, it better sell. If you make a Brago deck and call it 'Brago, King Eternal EDH' or something, probably not a lot of views as people will just be like oh yeah a Brago deck, cool, moving on. Oh whats this other cool azorius deck? 'Giant Frights and Bigger Heights' gon click it!...
It would be awesome if TappedOut added our little deck picture to the side of the name in cycling. That would add twice the flavor. Twice the intrigue.
Good name ;)
