Nov 1 Blim's Blumpkins lost its third in a row. I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I had given Selena--on Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir knights--Nefarious Lich. Selena had Kitnapped Laelia, the Blade Reforged. Selena attacked me with Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir and I should have just taken the damage. Instead, I killed her, using my Despotic Scepter to destroy the Nefarious Lich I had gifted her. Aubrey untapped with his Laelia, the Blade Reforged and used Hidden Volcano to absolutely murk me, exiling about 68 cards of his 87 land deck and attacking me for about 78 trampling commander damage.

Oct 25 Admiral Beckett Brass' High Seas Robberies lost a long close game. Logan had to leave. Dawson eventually killed us with his Jared Carthalion, all planeswalker, Umori, the Collector companion deck. We were all at similar life totals, 8, 6 and 4 with Jesse dead in the final turn cycle. I was able to attack Dawson for 14 on my final turn. To kill him, I would have needed to crack my Glaring Spotlight for three and I thereby couldn't have enough mana to also overload Blustersquall, which would be the only way to survive the attack from Ba if I killed Dawson.

Oct 25 Game of Thrones: Khorvath Brightflame and Sylvia Brightspear's other Dragons lost to Jesse's Surrak Dragonclaw deck's Primal Surge. A long 5-player game that Logan left early, down to 9 life, his Web of Inertia and goading commander Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer (Clan Crafter background) definitely kept him alive and impacted the game. I had a giant air force and solid Knights on the ground. (Sylvia, White Knight and Paladin en-Vec team blocked Surrak Dragonclaw to kill Surrak Dragonclaw when Logan used a Threaten spell to attack me with Jesse's commander.) Dawson on Jared Carthalion with Umori, the Collector Companion agreed not to hit my board with Vraska, Golgari Queen but Ba played his commander, Morophon, the Boundless, named Avatar and put out Child of Alara. Vraska, Golgari Queen -3 destroyed Child of Alara and with it, about 7 of my knights and dragons. Jesse though, Primal Surged and the other instant or sorcery in his deck, Mystical Tutor, was about 5th from the bottom. Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and more than enough card draw triggers got Jesse the win.

Oct 18 Imoti and the Dino Hippo win. Started by discarding to hand size twice. Jared's Supreme Verdict saved me. I got out Regal Behemoth and untapped with it. I recast Imoti and I think there was another turn cycle before I was able to keep the crown of the monarch and cast Wild Pair then Keruga, the Macrosage, putting Palinchron into play from my library. By the way, the "nerf" to companions makes this deck better, allowing Keruga to be cast from hand and trigger Wild Pair to get Palinchron onto the battlefield. Generally, as in this case, that produces infinite mana, infinite cascades... Jared refused to concede for a good 10 minutes but I cast and recast Walk the Aeons. Ezuri's Predation generated 24 power and the 16/16 Impervious Greatwurm joined the field. I had more than enough to kill all of my opponents

Is there any card you would remove for the ones you suggested?
Dark ritual is a bit expensive, I'd try the deck out first before thinking of upgrading with this if needed, Ornithopter of Paradise is interesting for sure, same for Augur of Skulls.
I think I could remove the 2 Roar of the Wurm, 2 Rite of the Moth and maybe if needed 2 Armada Wurm? Would need to figure it out.
DreadKhan on Composting with Wurms
Dark Ritual will let you cast Buried Alive turn 1 fwiw, it can also help power out some of your bigger reanimation spells, or even a Wurm in a pinch.
Ornithopter of Paradise isn't as expensive as Birds of Paradise, but it's got the same ability, and it can technically fix you a bit better since you it can give you the Green you might need.
Augur of Skulls is a real utility creature, it can chump reasonably well (as long as they don't have evasion), it can force anyone to discard 2 cards for only 1B (normally you'd pay 2B for this via Mind Rot, or perhaps Wrench Mind), you might target an opponent, but you can also use it to discard 2 cards if that's exactly what you want. There is also something like Putrid Imp that might do the same thing for only B, but it's not useful as a chump blocker.

Xica Faerie Masterminds effect isn’t broad at-all… if your opponent isn’t drawing it does nothing. Meanwhile it presents almost no pressure, and dies horribly to Orcish Bowmasters (which, is a much more broadly useful card and actually does things).
You seem to think Consign to Memory is a narrow card, but this only illustrates to me that you haven’t grasped its power. Even outside of eldrazi and one-ring decks, this card is constantly boarded-in against a very wide variety pf matchups. Its application is broad-enough that it’s not uncommon to see decks playing a copy mainboard. There’s practically no meta-deck this doesn’t do something powerful against!!
Xica on How to deal with [[The …
I wouldn't say its due to narrowness.
If you ask me, i would say its too much "hivemind knows better" inertia, and favouring low cmc cards. And overoptimizing for T1 - while ignoring the rest of the meta.
The utter lack of Faerie Mastermind is a great example. Its a way more broad effect than Bonecrusher Giant or Consign to Memory.
And well, the "narrow" effects i mentioned like Toil / Trouble have uses that makes them easily mainboardable - the draw 2 half means you could have it mainboarded, or be a split between side and mainboard.
I get that i am a "loser with no respect for established WISDOM", people will just have to accept that.
If i would gain my enjoyment more from playing and less from brewing, i would surely have a different outlook. But wouldnt have unique and still viable decks.

In a combat-focussed token deck, maybe include Cathars' Crusade to make your army ridiculously powerful in a very easy way. The deck in its current form also doesn't contain a lot of draw-options, which might slow you down compared to other decks. Maybe a card like Phyrexian Arena or Smuggler's Share or something could help on that front. Good luck with the deck.
